Global Offensive
In the continuation of the series, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, or CS: GO for short, continued with the online first-person shooter game developed by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment. It is the fourth game in the Counter-Strike series. It was released for Microsoft Windows, macOS, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in August 2012, while the Linux version was released in 2014.
Contributing to the development of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Hidden Path Ent. in 2009, originally started as a console version of Counter-Strike: Source. Then, Valve started the closed beta version on the PC platform, adding a few more things by renaming this new game as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive instead of purchasing it from Hidden Path Ent.
The game, called Terrorists and Anti-Terrorists, is tasked with both sides destroying each other while completing separate objectives at the same time. Depending on the game mode, the terrorists must either plant the bomb or defend the hostages; Anti-Terrorists, on the other hand, must either prevent the planting of the bomb, defuse the bomb, or rescue the hostages. There are nine game modes, all with different features unique to this mode.
The game also includes matchmaking support, allowing players to play on dedicated Valve servers, as well as community members hosting their own servers with custom maps and game modes.
Counter Strike: Global Offensive has a security and correct gameplay system called Trust Factor. This system was first added to the game with the Danger Zone update released in 2018. At the same time, after this update, the previously paid game has become free.
