Brad Pitt is an American actor and filmmaker. He owns the production company Plan B Entertainment. He is the recipient of several awards, including an Academy Award and a Primetime Emmy Award for his production, as well as two Golden Globe Awards and an Academy Award for his acting.
Brad Pitt was born on December 18, 1963, in Oklahoma City, as the first child of Jane Etta and William Alvin. His mother worked as a school counselor while his father ran a trucking company. They moved to Springfield, Missouri right after Brad was born. His siblings Douglas and Julie Neal were also born here. Brad grew up in a conservative family environment. When he started his education at Kickapoo High school, he was particularly interested in sports. He participated in swimming, tennis and golf teams in high school.
In 1982, he enrolled at the University of Missouri at Columbia to study journalism. In 1986, 2 weeks before his graduation, he left school with a sudden decision and went to Los Angeles. When he first stepped into the city, he only had $325 in his wallet. He worked at any job he could find for a while. He wore a chicken costume in promotions and worked as a driver in limousines. Brad wanted to be a movie star. He started playing small, low-budget roles in TV shows.
His first screen experience was a small role in the sitcom “Head Of The Class”. He first gained attention in 1989 when he starred in a low-budget production called “Cutting Class.” He appeared as “Chris” in the TV series “Another World”. Soon after, he appeared in the TV series “Our House”. He was offered to act in other episodes as well, when he was transferred to one of the most popular TV series in America, “Dallas”. He got the role of “Charles”, Shalane McCall’s boyfriend. He has also acted in TV series like “Thirtysomething”, “21 Jump Street” and “Friday Nightmares”.
In 1991, his luck turned real when he starred in the Ridley Scott-directed film Thelma & Louise. “People Magazine” named him the “Sexiest Man in the World”. In 1994, he acted in the movie “Interview with the Vampire”, and after a year, in 1995 “12 Monkeys” and “Seven”. He made his biggest break of his life with the movie “Fight Club” in 1999.
Brad Pitt starred in the movie “Snatch” that would make him known worldwide in 2000. He was awarded the “Best Supporting Actor” by the “Stallite Awards” for his role.
In 2001, he starred in the movies “Spy Game” and “The Mexican”. In the same year, they appeared in front of the camera with George Clooney and Julia Roberts for “Oceans’ Eleven”, the first movie of the series directed by Steven Soderberg. In 2005, “Mr. And Mrs. He appeared in front of the camera with Angelina Jolie for “Smith”. In 2006, he starred in “Babel”, in 2007 “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford”. In the same year, the third movie of the series “Ocean’s Thirteen” was shot.
Brad first got engaged to Gwyneth Paltrow in 1996. However, this engagement lasted a year. In 1998, he met Jennifer Aniston, who played in the famous TV series “Friends”. On July 29, 2000, they got married in a ceremony held in Malibu. Their marriage lasted only 5 years. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who were rumored to be in love, started dating after Brad Pitt’s divorce.
Angelina Jolie was in Cambodia during the filming of “Tomb Raider” in 2000 and adopted a son named “Maddox” from there in 2002. Later, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie adopted a girl named “Zahara” from Ethiopia together. In May 2006, their daughter “Shiloh Nouvel” was born. Their third adopted child was “Pax”. Then the couple’s twin babies were born. In 2014, they had 6 children. The couple married in a private ceremony in France on August 23th 2014 but they decided to divorce in September 2016.
