NASA said that it is preparing to take its tourism projects for the International Space Station one step further. Previously, commercial organizations could only use the ISS for research purposes. NASA said it dedicates five percent of the station’s annual resources (including astronaut time and cargo mass) to commercial use. The cheapest cargo option was quoted as 3 thousand dollars per kilogram. Then, a payment of 3 thousand dollars / kg will be made to throw this object in the trash. But if you want it brought back to the planet, you will have to pay an additional $6,000.
NASA has set a daily fee of $11,250 for the International Space Station. But if you don’t have other services and tools such as food, air, crew supplies, consumables, medical kit and exercise equipment, you can buy them too. Only then does your daily wage rise to $22,500.
However, according to the first plan announced, it will be held from this special mission only 2 times per year. In other words, civilian astronauts who want to go and companies that want to send their cargo are expected to enter into a tight competition in this regard.
