The response from Russia to the sanctions of the USA and Canada was not delayed. Sanctions were imposed on 29 US citizens and 61 Canadian citizens, including US Vice President Kamala Harris and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. In the statement made by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the list includes Harris and Zuckerberg, the wife of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, White House Secretary General Ron Klain, White House Cabinet Secretary Evan Ryan, Deputy Secretary of Defense and some senior executives from the US Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the people included in the list have been banned from entering Russia. He stated that these people made Russophobic propaganda and were included in the sanctions list in retaliation for the sanctions imposed by Canada and the US administration on Russia.
